Targeted Audience: Adoptive/Resource Families. This course discusses the various characteristics and values that are held by successful adoptive families, what the experiences and needs are for children who are adopted, what research has found to be the best practices to support adoptive families, and how to advocate for and access needed community support services in the areas of education, mental health, and self-care. This course is a self-paced course with no instructor. Participants work on the course at their own pace. Course length is approximately 1.5 hour.
