For Kansas Children's Service League Staff Only. In this course, staff  will understand general concepts regarding cultural competency when working with children and families. Participants will also be able to reflect on cultural norms and codes of conduct in assessing an individual’s or family’s behavior as well as distinguish how discrimination, racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia and other forms of discrimination and oppression can impact individual and family development and functioning.

For Kansas Children's Service League Staff Only. In this course, staff will understand the rights of clients as well as how to protect client confidentiality including what client information can be shared and the procedures to follow. Staff will also understand agency policies on reporting criminal behavior and duty to warn and will understand the consequences of violating these policies.
